Part Time Weekend Sales Associate
ABOUT THE JOB
SHW is a fine jewelry destination for memorable pieces designed and handcrafted in New York City. Our carefully considered selection of rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets honors mindful production and genuine materials. Our approach to working with our clients is high touch and handled with the utmost care and attention to detail. Our small, hands-on team is led by our designer and certified diamond gemologist, Urte Tylaite, who founded SHW in 2011.
The SHW team is looking for a Part Time Weekend Sales Associate to deliver superior customer service to all clients and provide keen attention to detail to aid in notating client inquiries and orders. They will support the store staff by assisting in welcoming clients to the showroom and ensure every client receives the same thoughtful, attentive service that defines SHW. This position is ideal for someone who is looking for part time work in the fine jewelry industry and prefers to work for a small, locally owned business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Experience & Sales
Assist in day to day shop duties including warmly greeting clients, helping with opening and closing responsibilities, and thoughtfully notating client inquiries
Assist the Senior Client Experience Coordinator with CRM note entry
Help manage and schedule appointment bookings
Assist with thoughtfully packaging online and shipping orders for clients
Aid in logging incoming and outgoing repairs, resizes and special order requests
Answer and properly directs incoming calls
Create a welcoming luxury environment for our clients
QUALIFICATIONS
Entry-level
Retail sales experience
Luxury retail experience is a plus
Keyholder experience is a plus
Interpersonal and digital communication skills are key to this position
Minimum 1 year in an operational role in a customer service environment
Computer skills: proficient in Google Suite, Adobe Suite, experience with Slack and Notion are a plus but not mandatory
Prior fine jewelry experience is not required but our ideal candidate is very interested in growing their knowledge and experience in the jewelry industry
Ability to lift boxes up to 15lbs, go up and down a ladder and comfortably be on the sales floor for 8 hours
Availability to work some week days and weekends as well as busy holiday seasons
Availability to start immediately
